Members & Patrons

Terms of Service

The agreement between you and CrystalPrivacy when you join, vouch for, or participate in a community.

Effective: 06/26/2026
Last updated: 07/31/2026

Please read these Terms carefully. These Community Member Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CrystalPrivacy platform and its applications as a Member or Patron of a community. By accepting an invitation, generating or redeeming a trust code, or otherwise using CrystalVerify or CrystalTrust, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the applications.

01Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms are an agreement between you and CrystalPrivacy (“CrystalPrivacy,” “Platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to you if you are:

  • A Member — an individual admitted to a community who uses the CrystalVerify application to invite and vouch for others; or
  • A Patron — an individual vouched for by a Member who uses the CrystalTrust application to accept invitations and generate validation codes.

Members and Patrons are referred to collectively as “Participants,” “you,” or “your.” Each community you join is owned and operated by a Community Founder, who sets that community’s rules. In addition to these Terms, you agree to follow the rules of any community you join.

02Eligibility — You Must Be 18 or Older

You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use the Platform or participate in any community. By using the applications or joining a community, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are 18 years of age or older (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater);
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement; and
  • You are not prohibited from using the Platform under the laws of your country of origin, your country of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction.

We and Community Founders reserve the right to remove any Participant reasonably believed to be under 18.

03How Membership Works

CrystalPrivacy is built on referral-based trust. You join a community by invitation from an existing Member, and you extend that community by vouching for others you personally know and trust. When you accept an invitation or vouch for someone, trust travels between the applications as an anonymous, single-use code — no personal information about you or the people you invite is exchanged through the trust mechanism.

Because the integrity of every community depends on honest vouching, you agree that:

  • You will only vouch for or invite people you personally know and genuinely trust;
  • You will not sell, trade, or give away invitations or trust codes to strangers or to people you cannot personally vouch for; and
  • You understand that vouching for someone reflects on you and on the community, and that abuse of the trust system may result in removal.

04Your Account and Trust Codes

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your access to the applications and your trust codes. You agree to:

  • Keep your credentials and trust codes confidential;
  • Not share your account or codes in a way that circumvents the referral system;
  • Notify us or your Community Founder promptly of any suspected unauthorized use; and
  • Accept responsibility for activity conducted through your access.

05Membership Fees and Subscriptions

Depending on how your community is set up by its Founder, membership may require a paid subscription, or may be free to you:

  • Where a subscription is required, pricing, tiers, and billing frequency are set by your Community Founder and displayed to you before you pay. Payments are processed through the Platform.
  • Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and access continues until then.
  • Refunds, where offered, are governed by the refund terms presented at the point of purchase and applicable law.
  • In communities where the Founder has paid a flat fee, no subscription is required from you to participate.

Billing disputes on Platform-processed subscriptions are handled by CrystalPrivacy. Questions about a community’s rules, benefits, or conduct are handled by that community’s Founder.

06Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Platform, the applications, or any community for any of the following:

  • Illegal activity. Any practice or activity that is currently deemed illegal in your country of origin, in your country of residence, in any jurisdiction from which you access the Platform, or under the laws of the United States;
  • Harassment and abuse. Harassing, threatening, intimidating, defaming, or abusing any other Participant or any third party;
  • Harmful or exploitative content. Posting or transmitting content that is hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or that exploits or endangers minors in any way;
  • Marketing and advertising. Using a community or its trust connections as a marketing or advertising platform — including soliciting Participants, promoting or selling products or services, distributing spam, or harvesting community connections for promotional purposes;
  • Abuse of the trust system. Selling, trading, or distributing invitations or trust codes, vouching for people you cannot personally vouch for, or otherwise gaming the referral chain;
  • De-anonymization. Attempting to identify, track, profile, or collect personal data about other Participants, or attempting to defeat, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the Platform’s anonymity and trust-code mechanisms;
  • Impersonation and fraud. Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your identity, affiliation, or the reason you are vouching for someone;
  • Platform interference. Introducing malware, attempting unauthorized access to Platform systems or other Participants’ accounts, scraping data, using bots or automated tools without permission, or interfering with Platform operation; and
  • Facilitation. Encouraging or assisting any other person to do any of the above.

We and Community Founders reserve the right to investigate suspected violations, remove Participants, and cooperate with law enforcement where required by law.

07Your Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of any content you post within a community. By posting content, you grant CrystalPrivacy and your Community Founder a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display it as necessary to operate the community. You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have the rights to post it. Communities may be moderated by their Founders, who may remove content or Participants under their community rules.

08User-Generated Content

The Platform may allow you to upload images and other content (“User-Generated Content” or “UGC”). You are solely responsible for everything you upload. By uploading UGC, you represent, warrant, and agree that:

  • You own it. You may upload only images and content that you own or are otherwise fully authorized to upload. You must not upload any image or content that you do not own or hold the necessary rights and permissions to use.
  • No infringement. Your UGC does not and will not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, privacy right, or other intellectual property or proprietary right of any person or entity.
  • Consent and age. If an image depicts any person, you have that person’s consent to upload and display it, and every depicted person is at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Lawful content. Your UGC complies with these Terms, your community’s rules, and all applicable laws, and does not include any content prohibited under Section 6.

Platform not responsible. CrystalPrivacy does not create, own, endorse, pre-screen, or control UGC, and is not responsible or liable for any UGC uploaded by you or any other Participant, including its accuracy, legality, ownership, or any infringement it may cause. You upload UGC at your own risk and bear sole responsibility for it. CrystalPrivacy and your Community Founder may, but are not obligated to, remove UGC or suspend or remove any Participant in response to a complaint, suspected infringement, or violation of these Terms, and CrystalPrivacy will respond to valid intellectual-property complaints in accordance with applicable law. You agree to indemnify CrystalPrivacy for any claim arising out of UGC you upload, as described in Section 14.

09Privacy

The Platform is designed to protect your privacy. Trust between Participants travels as anonymous codes, and the trust mechanism does not exchange personal information about you. CrystalPrivacy’s handling of any information you do provide (such as account or payment details) is described in our Privacy Policy at crystalprivacy.com/resources. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described there.

10Relationship With Your Community Founder

Each community is owned and operated by its Community Founder, who is an independent operator and not an agent of CrystalPrivacy. You acknowledge that:

  • Your Community Founder sets and enforces the rules, benefits, and conduct standards of your community;
  • CrystalPrivacy provides the trust-validation and, where applicable, billing services, but does not control a community’s day-to-day operation or content; and
  • Disputes about a community’s rules or conduct are between you and your Community Founder, except for billing disputes on Platform-processed subscriptions, which we will handle.

11Suspension and Termination

We or your Community Founder may suspend or remove you from a community, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, violate a community’s rules, engage in unlawful conduct, or abuse the trust system. You may leave a community or stop using the applications at any time. Upon termination, your right to access the community ceases, and Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 14 survive.

12Disclaimers

13Limitation of Liability

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CrystalPrivacy and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Platform or any community; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these Terms, including any Prohibited Use; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party, including anyone you invite or vouch for.

15Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the applications or by email at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect, where practicable. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits your rights under mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.

17General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the rules of any community you join, constitute the entire agreement between you and CrystalPrivacy regarding your use of the Platform.
  • Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  • No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
